WHAT IS THE FIT TEA DIET?

Fit Tea is a weight-loss and detox drink available in a 14 day or 28-day plan. Its creators claim it boosts metabolism, energy, and immunity when used alongside another diet and exercise plan. Due to its caffeine content, Fit Tea recommends drinking just one cup every morning. Though it claims to be an effective weight-loss aide, Fit Tea cautions that weight lost varies from person to person. The company also fails to provide an estimate of average pounds lost.
This drink gained popularity due to a mixture of model endorsements and Instagram. But, pretty girls do not effective science make. So, that leaves us with some questions: Does this tea help you shed pounds? Is Fit Tea any different from normal tea? Is it really “all-natural”? We’ll do our best to answer those questions.

FIT TEA INGREDIENTS AND SIDE EFFECTS

While Fit Tea is “all-natural,” it still has a laundry list of ingredients:

Organic Green Tea:

A common unfermented tea known to be an effective antioxidant. When it comes to its use as a weight-loss aid, WebMD states, “Some evidence suggests… it may help you drop a few pounds, other studies show no effect.”

Oolong Wu Yu:

A partially-fermented tea extracted from the same plants as black and green tea. Its high caffeine content leads to many side effects: cardiovascular issues, headaches, nausea, rapid heart rate, anxiety, withdrawal symptoms, and heightened blood pressure.

Garcina Cambogia Extract:

A proven weight-loss supplement made from the Malabar tamarind.

Pomegranate:

A fruit known for its antioxidant and immunity-boosting properties. Its root is toxic and ingestion can induce allergic reactions in certain individuals.

Organic Rooibos:

An herbal tea originating from South Africa. It’s proclaimed as a new-age way to reduce the risk of cancer and reduce age-related mental decline. WebMD cautions that there “Isn’t enough information to know if… (it’s) safe for use as a medicine.”

Ginger:

A rich spice made from a bamboo-like plant originating in Southeastern Asia.

Stevia:

A non-sugar sweetener originating from South America.

Honey:

A sticky, sweet fluid made from the nectar of flowers.

Guarana:

Seeds of an Amazon fruit used for their stimulant-like effects. This ingredient contains caffeine, theobrine, and other compounds. Its side effects include insomnia, jitters, shakes, muscle spasms, anxiety, and mood swings. WebMD stated that this ingredient may be “POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taken by mouth in high doses or for a long time.”

Citric Acid:

An ingredient common in citrus fruits that adds acidity and flavor. Its overuse leads to problems: erosion of tooth enamel, abdominal pain, redness, sore throat.

Matcha Green Tea:

A specific-type of powdered green tea cultivated In Japan. It’s known for its powerful antioxidant properties.

FIT TEA QUALITY OF INGREDIENTS

The company claims that its weight-loss benefits originate from the proprietary blend of fruit and stimulant-heavy green teas. There is no evidence indicating that this blend is superior to other stimulant-laden formulas. Furthermore, relying on caffeine to produce lifelong health is a recipe for disaster. Once your body builds up a resistance to it, all its weight-loss benefits go out the window. Rooibos and pomegranate, on the other hand, while all natural, possess zero weight-related benefits.

The only proven weight-loss ingredient in Fit Tea is Garcinia Cambogia. But, this ingredient is not likely to produce noticeable results on its own. In short, this tea relies on temporary aids to drive lifelong results.

The Price and Quality of Fit Tea

You can pick up a 28-day supply of Fit Tea for $45. This equates to a daily cost of $1.60. This is expensive for a drink full of common teas, cheap sweeteners, salt, ginger, and lemon. You can pick up these ingredients at your local grocery store for far less.

BUSINESS OF FIT TEA

Fit Tea shares its name with its parent company. You can contact them by:
E-mail: support@FitTea.com.
The company does not list a working address or phone number. The company currently has an F-rating with the Better Business Bureau. Here’s some BBB highlights:
“Have stopped responding to my inquiries.”

“Many people are being scammed by this company.”

“I think this is a complete scam.”

“Still have not sent my package.”

Many people showed frustration with the company’s customer service, shipping, and billing practices. These issues grew severe enough that many former customers believe Fit Tea to be nothing more than a scam. FitTea has now disconnected the phone number listed with the Better Business Bureau.

A healthy lifestyle is a lifelong commitment. It’s important that the diet plan you choose is just as committed to you. Judging by the high amount of negative reviews, and lack of up-to-date contact information, Fit Tea fails this test. A company that cannot answer your questions, or provide nutritional information, is not one worth working with.

CUSTOMER OPINIONS OF FIT TEA

We found a few reviews online. Here’s what consumers had to say:

“It has done absolutely nothing.”
“Feels like just another overpriced laxative.”
“Save your money, this doesn’t work.”
“Have been constipated, bloated, and super hungry.”

Users expressed concern about the lack of noticeable weight loss. Many went on to call Fit Tea an overpriced, overmarketed stimulant-heavy drink. To those who commonly consume coffee or tea, this diet offers zero benefits. And, even if you wanted to give it a shot, this company has a very strict no-refund policy.
That should be proof of how little faith they have in their product.

CONCLUSION – DOES FIT TEA WORK?

Little exists to differentiate Fit Tea from a typical, less-expensive black tea. Its ingredients are common and weight-loss effects limited. You can also pick up all its ingredients much cheaper at the local grocery store. When you add this to the company’s F-rating with the Better Business Bureau, it’s quickly apparent that this company is more about the bottom dollar than promoting long-term wellness.

We suggest you give Fit Tea a wide berth.

  1. OMG!!! I love Lyfe Tea! I’ve been using it for 3 weeks and I’ve lost 12 pounds! It’s crazy good! I have no more sweet cravings and my tummy is FLAT!

  2. The drink based tool offers a variety of concussions with different flavors’ that suit your desire. I went for green tea and I found it very nice and it worked for me. My tummy is flat unlike before when I tried other possible ways but nothing seemed to be coming forth but great disappointments, with green tea I was able to take it at the comfort of my workplace, in the car even while watching my favorite programs. Drink based diet does not in any way interfere with your daily routine practices.
