BACKGROUND ON OPRAH AND OPRAH’S DIETS

For many individuals, weight loss is a deeply-personal, private matter. It happens behind closed doors, and away from the public eyes. OPRAH’S DIETS

Bob Greene’s Diet: Bob Greene stood with Oprah through all her weight-loss struggles. He’s a no-gimmick health coach who focuses on helping clients develop healthy relationships with exercise and food. He also authored The Total Body Makeover
and The Best Life. Greene believes the best approach to weight loss is lifestyle-centric.

Dr. Oz’s Diet: One of television’s most famous doctors, Dr. Oz wrote two best-selling weight-loss books with the help of his partner, Doctor David Roizen. Dr. Oz combines the methods of Eastern medicine with cutting-edge medical technologies of the west in order to produce effective diets. Many of his weight loss programs center on a diet of whole foods, regular exercise, and regular yoga. He also provides women tips about anti-aging and beauty.

Kathy Freston’s Diet Oprah once followed Quantum Wellness to lessen her environmental impact. Kathy Freston, a bestselling author, created this vegan diet plan in 2009. Her book encourages readers to focus on the pillars of wellness to improve their lives. These are visualization, exercise, self-work, meditation, conscious eating, spiritual practice, service, and fun. The end product is a happier planet and, more importantly, a healthier you.

THE NUTRITION OF OPRAH’S ENDORSED DIETS

While all three of Oprah’s diets differ, they have one thing in common; they ask you to eat a balanced diet filled with whole foods while removing processed foods from your diet. Dr. Oz and Greene’s diets include lean meat, meanwhile, Quantum Wellness centers on a vegan diet. All three weight-loss plans come with recipes and detailed nutritional information.
